The short version: DraftGuard collects nothing. Your text never leaves your device. There is no server. There is no account. There is no tracking.

What DraftGuard stores

DraftGuard saves drafts of text you type into websites, plus your notes and settings, using the browser's local extension storage (storage.local) on your own computer. This data is accessible only to the extension on your device.

What DraftGuard does NOT do

No data is transmitted to any server — the extension makes zero network requests
No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking of any kind
No account, registration, or personal information required
No cookies
No selling, sharing, or processing of user data — we never have it in the first place

Sensitive fields are never captured

DraftGuard automatically excludes password fields and any input that appears to contain payment or identity data (card numbers, CVV, OTP, PIN, IBAN) from being saved — by design, at the code level.

Data retention & deletion

Drafts expire and are deleted automatically after their retention window. You can delete any draft, or all data, at any time from the extension popup. Uninstalling the extension permanently removes all stored data.
